           The Egyptian Society of Histology and Cytology was established and publicized in 1976 at the Faculty of Medicine, according to the Law 32 of 1964, Law 153 of 1999, Law 84 of 2002, and Law 149 of 2019.

 

             Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahed Ahmed Busaila held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors from its inception until 2001, followed by Prof.Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al-Morsi until 2016. Then the position was crowned by Prof. Dr. Hekmat Sorour from 2017 to date.

 

          The Egyptian Society of Histology and Cytology organizes scientific international conferences in cooperation with scientists from outside and within the country.  These conferences present a broad field in cultural, scientific, histological, applied research, and educational activities for specialists in the field of medicine and science.
